What should I do when both of car keys were lost?

What should I do when both of car keys were lost? The first key was thrown to the closestool by my little guy. The second key was in my pocket and vanish from sight. I should make new one when I lost my first key.

Replace your ignition. It's the only thing you can do at this point. Car keys are made for the ignition in your car only. Otherwise, anyone who owns a car of the same make and model as yours could hop in your machine and drive away with it. I'm sure you didn't want to hear something like that but them's the breaks, as the saying goes. You might potentially find one in a junkyard(as we call it here in the States) or some other source of used parts and not have to pay dealer's price for it. Best of luck.

I thought that all you have to do is pop along to your local Mazda dealer with the car VIN or ignition key number and for, a substancial amount of cash, they will replace the keys.

I've always been told that you had to replace the ignition. Makes sense to me as the manufacturer would have to keep key/ignition templates for every vehicle they ever produced otherwise. You may well be right, though.

You don't need to replace the ignition. Any decent auto locksmith will be able to supply a key and program it into the car. Alternatively you can have it done at Mazda dealers but it will be more expensive (and you will also have to have the car transported there). You would be wise to have two keys done as the only extra cost will be for the key.
