Bit of a cheek

Just had a look at the Motorpoint website to see what MX5s they have. Under the ad for a 2011 Miyako is a link to "Vehicles that are similar to the MX5" - a Fiat 500C, for heavens sake, what planet are they on? We all know that the Fiat 500C is a far superior vehicle, a tried & trusted design that first saw the light of day in 1957.Embarassed

Exactly Errol and everyone knows a Yam V Max is no competition for a 57 Vespa.

    Not round corners at least.

In fact the V Max is an awful bike so probably not in any way.  Yamaha have much better products available.

The V Max can be a real drag sometimes

I've never understood or liked drag racing (apart from the way it fits in with the US mindset) but doing it on a bike makes no sense at all, if you want go as fast a possible over a short distance you've already chosen the wrong vehicle.  Bikes only become interesting (to me) when you throw corners into the mix.

I'm going to have to disagree with you, GDCobra. As a lifelong Biker I know what they'll do - even the cruisers. Very few cars can come close to the power to weight ratio that a bike has - especially a crotch rocket. Of course, they're %^$# deadly if you turn them loose on public roads.

To quote the much missed Ogri (Peter Sample cartoons), "Better an old nail than no bike at all".

So who cares if you ride a V Max, a "rice rocket" or a 1950s Goldie? They are all better than any 4 wheeler for sheer pleasure.
