Joined as I've just bought an MX5 Conran, X reg. Not my first MX5 as I had a 1997 Mk1 but only kept it for 18 months due to family problems and not enough time to use it.

Now I've more time (retired) and I'm going to really enjoy this very plush little car. Anyone else got one - mine's the silver with red interior.

    Hello Yvonne, welcome to the forum, sounds like a nice car you have there. Hope you enjoy it.
    I've got an 07 RC model.

    What area are you in? I always wave but not everyone does, it's good when you do get a wave returned so it's worth doing anyway even if my wife does laugh everytime I don't get a response!

    Also: never ask someone if they're from Yorkshire. If they're not, they'll be embarrassed. If they are, they'll already have told you.

    Thanks for the welcome.

    I'm in Suffolk currently but be assured that I'll wave at anyone in an MX5, any year and model. Way back when I was a mere sprog I had a new Triumph Spitfire (1973 - now I'm showing my age!) and every other Spitfire owner waved then.

    And, yes, the leather interior of my Conran is a beautiful blood red. Shows up when the sun's shining! When I've a minute I'll post some photos od 'Veronica' (don't ask) for all to see.

    Forgive me for gate-crashing Yvonne's welcome, but I've just joined too and wasn't sure whether to start a new topic or not to say hi. So I've taken this route!

    I've owned a 2000 Mk 2, 1.8SE, in Racing Green for a couple of years. And love it! I have tan leather interior and did have a hardtop until it was stolen from the car last month! But that's for another forum post.
