I've just responded to a comment of Jo's (Vo5JO) and thought there might be others out there who were dissapointed at missing a display of the only flying Avro Vulcan - XH558 - This year.
Despite a tremendously successful display season there was a lot of focus on the 4 weeks that she was unserviceable.

I did see it at Fairford - fan-b***y-tastic, and so elegant!
I was at Fairford as well, working in the Vulcan Village as one of the volunteers. We probably met and didn't know it !
