GLOUCESTER :
If you can distribute this text around any groups or contacts in Gloucester/Shire I'd appreciate it. Trying to raise funds for the building of the Jet Age Museum building fund, the more money the better the building!
See Poster in the photos section.
*****************
I don't know how many of you in the Gloucester area are members of the Jet Age Museum ( http://www.jetagemuseum.org ) but they are planning to start building a new Museum premises at Staverton in 2012.
The jet Age Museum is keeping the history and heritage of Gloucester's considerable contribution to the UK aviation industry alive and well.
Please support them in their fundraising on 10 December at 'The Flying Shack', Bamfurlong Lane (just a couple of hundred yards from the Cheltenham Road). Can't miss it, there's a Vulcan nose section by the gate.
This event is a joint event with VULCAN TO THE SKY Club, which supports the only flying Vulcan XH558 ( http://www.vulcantothesky.org ) so you will also be able to able to purchase Vulcan merchandise, as well as Jet Age Museum merchandise, have a cockpit tour of the Vulcan (XM569) nose section, pleasure flights in a Percival Prentice (with Air Atlantique, vintage aircraft), Raffle which will include a Flying Shack flying lesson, Vulcan canvas print and other prizes.
The Javelin and Meteor, hopefully the full scale replica of E28/39 (Whittle) jet weather permitting.
You can also support the museum by becoming a member, it's only £10 per year, or a lifetime membership of £250.
Please come along and support this very worthy LOCAL charity.
