Jet Age Museum - Gloucester

Just to let you know that the Jet Age Museum will be holding a fund raising event 11 September at 'The Flying Shack', Staverton (Gloucestershire) Airport.

Admission is free but a donation would be very welcome.

See the website for details of what's on but it includes a VULCAN Nose Section that you can go up into so you can get a pilot's eye view from the cockpit.

First photo is before being repainted - the remnants of silver paint that can be see are an episode in XM569's life that she would rather forget.  A bit embarassing for a Vulcan.

Not often you see two icons of superb engineering in one photograph 

After a coat of paint to smarten up the original camoflague scheme.
