Hi,

Has anyone successfully converted to LPG and can tell me about any adverse effects on a 5? I do enough miles each year to easily pay for the conversion cost within 18months… but I’m just unsure if I would be doing any harm to my adorable MK2.5. I realise I would lose some boot space, but I’m told things have improved over the past few years with lighter and smaller tanks… is this true?

A lot also depends on the government keeping its promises to hold cleaner fuel costs well below petrol.

    You might find it worthwhile reading an article that appered in the owners club magazine Soft Top Hardtop around two or three years ago.  It was about an onwer's experience with his LPG converted mk.1.  I can't remember specific details.
