New Tyres fitted

Hello all! been a while since Ive been on here (still not keen on the new layout!). Anyhoo, just had my 4th year service and had some new tyres fitted . However, I think they are wrong (the garage ordered them so it's as much my fault for not taking control but as it was about to fail the MOT I let the experienced mechanic get on with it)  . They have replaced my original Michelin Precedas on my 2ltr Sport 17", with Pirelli P Zeros at 205/55/R17/88 V

I think this is wrong as I think it will upset my gear ratios and I think it should be on a W rating and not V. I;m pretty sure I should only be on 205/45 17 nn W (can't remember what the nn bit is!)

Before I get on my high horse, am I right to insist on a change?!

Will it make any difference if I leave these ones on it?

I did try searching the forum first but I just can't seem to find the info on here as easily as I used to!

Thank you!

glad you got it sorted, its just another car expense so you are taking the right approach. Nice to feel you got a good discount too. Roll on summer indeed especially now you are sorted with a lovely running car that will grip the roads and make you smile. Don't forget the rules, roof down and wave to every MX5 you see. Have a fun summer.
